7-Day Of Wildlife Wonders Exploring Spectacular Kenya

Check for flights arriving in Nairobi in the morning in readiness to depart for Aberdares Forest.

Met on arrival by your safari driver guide at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a pre safari briefing depart and drive to Aberdares National Forest to arrive at The Ark in time for lunch or late lunch.

The Ark
Tucked into the thick, verdant forests of Kenya’s Aberdare National Park. The Ark overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, which attracts a host of awesome wildlife. Modeled after Noah’s Ark, The Ark has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge, which is visited daily by elephants, buffalos and a wide variety of plains game.

6:00hrs – Depart for a game drive within Aberdare Country Club or alternatively cool down and relax as the animals come to say jambo from the water hole.

Dinner and overnight at The Ark.

Breakfast in the Lodge. 1000hrs depart and drive to the nearby 110,000-acre Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which lies on the Laikipia plains.

Enjoy a game viewing drive en-route to the Camp, sheltered oasis, clustered around a water hole and set in the pristine calm of the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sweetwaters Serena Camp offers a charming blend of under canvas ambiance and safari experience.

16:00hrs enjoy an afternoon game viewing drive in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy returning to camp in time to refresh for dinner.

A full day in the conservancy with morning and afternoon game viewing drive. Host to all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard), the conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya.

At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy program, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Early breakfast in the Camp. 0900hrs depart and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park, colored by a shimmering flamingo pink from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores is a popular place with visitors as well as locals.

Besides the greater and lesser flamingos, the park is home to many other species including, the Great-crested Grebe, the black necked Grebe, Little Grebe, Pelicans, Cormorant, African Darter, Egyptian Geese, night Heron, Fish Eagle, Grey Heron, Marabou stork, Sacred and Hadada Ibis.

1600hrs -Depart for an afternoon Game drive within the park

All meals and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa.

After Breakfast, at 07:30hrs depart and drive to Masai Mara Game Reserve to arrive in time for lunch or late lunch.

The Soroi Mara Bush Camp.

The Soroi Mara Bush Camp portfolio boasts one of the best and most spectacular locations in the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. It is located on the banks of the seasonal Olare Orok River, overlooking a large hippo pool with over 40 hippos at any time.

At 1600hrs -Depart for an afternoon game drive within the park.

Dinner and overnight at Soroi Mara Bush Camp.

A full day in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives in the Reserve at 06:30hrs and 16:00hrs respectively.

Certainly the most frequented game reserve in Kenya, Maasai Mara is a magnificent landscape of open plains bisected by the Mara River, and its tributaries and punctuated by marshes and forests. This 650 sq kilometer reserve supports the highest density of game to be seen anywhere considering its size.

Expected time of arrival in Nairobi will be at around 17:00 hrs and be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your scheduled flight departing late at night.
