Standing high on the edge of a towering “Mto Wa Mbu” escarpment with panoramic views over the glittering alkaline waters of Lake Manyara, Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge offers a unique blend of tranquility, wildlife discovery, and ornithological richness.

Not only is this area known for its tree-climbing lions, but also pink flamingoes and great birds of prey. As a result, the lodge has a bird theme, shown in such touches as stylish murals which depict bird migration patterns. The circular, closely-thatched rooms were inspired by the traditional Masai ‘boma’ style of construction.

Offers a dining room and bar. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, game drives, canoeing, boat trips, visits to the local village day trips to nearby Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park, archery, mountain biking, nature and bird walks, wildlife lectures, watercolor painting, and visits to the lodge’s botanical gardens.
